Main Objectives
• To actively contribute to the development and enhancement of the Training Departments objectives as applicable working closely with Manager Cabin Crew & SEP Training.

• To provide training in accordance with the mandatory regulations and in accordance with Company standards and policies.

• To assist with the development of all Cabin Crew Training Programs and related courseware.

• If an active flying crew member is recruited for a temporary position, he/she will be required to perform flying duties in the capacity of Cabin Service Manager / Cabin Crew member and to complete the cabin crew annual recurrent in order to remain current.
Main Duties
All Cabin Crew Instructors must be duly authorised by Bahrain CAA for testing and checking purposes.
Cabin Crew Instructors are responsible for the conduct of training for Cabin Crew and Pilots as per their specific qualification detailed in OM-D.Vol.1
1. Meet the qualification and experience requirements as set out in OM-D Vol.1 for each role undertaken, cabin crew instructors are expected to perform multiple roles, such as SEPI, CSI, CRMF, MFAI as assigned by the MCC&SEPT.
2. Ensure that procedures, standards and policies are trained in accordance with Gulf Air’s applicable manuals and the relevant regulatory requirements.
3. Be responsible for the health and safety of the trainees during the training sessions, be aware of procedures to be followed in an emergency, and ensure the trainees are thoroughly briefed
4. Ensure that adequate instructions are provided prior to any training exercise or session, so that the trainee is never in any doubt about what they are expected to do or to achieve.
5. Debrief the trainees on their performance after completion of training to ensure that any weak areas are discussed and procedures followed when performance is unsatisfactory.
6. Conduct Written and Practical Examinations in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements, assess and evaluate trainee performance, and provide feedback to trainees
7. Ensure that all applicable training forms are fully completed in a timely and legible method.
8. Ensure that a comprehensive and legible training assessment is completed at the end of training and trainees debriefed.
9. Be current with inflight service and safety standards and any changes or amendments that occur via notices and updates, and incorporate into course instruction.
10. Ensure that trainees are familiar with the latest procedures and recent amendments prior to completion of training.
11. Conduct specific training to other airline crew members, when required.
12. Assist in the development and updating of training manuals, instructor guide, training programmes, lesson plans, visual aids, CBT courseware, and related courseware.
13. Assist in developing videos as training aids for specific purposes as requested by the Cabin Crew department
14. Participate in regular training meetings or workshops, as assigned, to become better equipped with the knowledge of the training program.
15. Required to coordinate and arrange aircraft visits, catering visits and practical training outside GF HDQ.

In addition to the general duties and responsibilities as detailed above, the specific duties and responsibilities for each Cabin Crew Instructor position are detailed in OM-D VOL 1 Chapter 6.

If recruited for a temporary position and therefore still an active flying crew member, it is a requirement to perform flying duties in the capacity of Cabin Service Manager / Cabin Crew member in order to remain current.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Cabin Crew, of which 1 year is served in the capacity of a Cabin Senior.
• Previous training experience would be an advantage.
Qualifications
• Minimum High National Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent standard in both written and spoken English and a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, with a demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
• Competent swimmer, with knowledge of life-saving techniques.
• Excellent knowledge of onboard products and services.
