MAIN OBJECTIVES

• Ensure efficient and effective communication of cabin crew operation, administration and support activities as requested by Cabin Crew Department.

• Ensure cabin crew operational procedures and policies comply with regulatory requirements.

• Assist with and recommend new initiatives and approaches to effect continual improvements in efficiency of cabin crew procedures and services performed.

• Commit to the value of teamwork and sharing of information and experience.

MAIN DUTIES

1. Attend and participate in all meetings related to Cabin Crew policies and procedures, in order to stay updated and apply the necessary changes to the Manuals, Policies, PAs, Quality Procedures etc. and if required introduce new policies and procedures.

2. Participate in and prepare for scheduled quality audits conducted by the Ops QA department and ensure open findings are addressed and closed within the stipulated deadline.

3. Assist with communication to and from Cabin Crew, Line Managers, Catering, In-flight Service and Product, Marketing and Operations Management.

4. Keep current with all procedures concerning relevant departments within the Company.

5. Ensure Operations Compliance personnel are kept informed, apprised and notified of all applicable communications.

6. Ensure new initiatives and developments are communicated and promoted appropriately to relevant departments i.e. Cabin Crew, Marketing, etc.

7. Under the direction of Manager Regulatory Compliance, develop and implement business strategies in related area of work, that maximize cost efficiency whilst maintaining integrity.

8. Participate in Cabin Safety Action Groups (C-SAG) to proactively address safety issues that have been reported by crew, identify root causes and research industry best practices to enhance overall cabin safety.

9. As part of the Standard’s Committee, participate in pre and post tender processes regarding catering/galley products that are utilized by cabin crew on board the aircraft, provide suitable feedback to all relevant stakeholders.

10. Coordinate with GF Catering to arrange for inspections/visits to BAS Catering Units to ensure products featured in the IBSM are accurately documented and identified.

11. Monitor functionality, participate in development of Cabin Crew iPad apps, assist GF IT with drafting/amending iPad procedures for crew reference and report inconsistencies to CC Dept. and GF IT for appropriate remedial action.

12. Review, analyse and process eReports related to cabin crew documentation, and provide action/ response as applicable, considering the nature and complexity of the report.

13. Responsible for the procurement and issuance of Cabin Crew USB for new recruits.

14. In liaison with Manager Regulatory Compliance, review and ensure cabin crew policies and procedures are in line with company requirements and comply with regulatory requirements.

15. Maintain an updated ANTR OPS 1 Compliance Matrix related to Cabin and Flight Ops for regulatory and audit purposes.

16. Liaise with the Marketing department to facilitate the correct translation of English PAs to Arabic or other languages as needed.

17. Facilitate production and review of PRAMs, in-seat messages and safety video scripts, obtain necessary approvals and liaise with the applicable teams to upload to the aircraft systems.

18. Responsible for publishing and maintaining a record of all AIMS messages related to Cabin Crew and Flight Crew.

19. In liaison with MRC, correspond with BCAA on Cabin Ops related issues and ensure applicable CC documents are submitted for BCAA approval/acceptance.

20. Ensure that the Cabin Crew Quick Reference Handbook (CCQRH) is aligned with Operations Manuals and each revision is published in accordance with the Publication Schedule produced by MRC.

21. Responsible for arranging external printing of revised and approved CCQRH and allocating required budgetary requirements for the same.

22. In coordination with MRC, CC QA and GF IT, prepare and publish pre-flight questions related to Security and Emergency Procedures, Aircraft Specific information and First Aid.

23. Produce regular amendments in accordance with the Publication Schedule, to the Cabin Crew Administration Manual (CCAM), Inflight Boutique Services Manual (IBSM), Cabin Services Manager Handbook (CSMH) and any other manual relevant to Cabin Crew, in liaison with all stakeholders.

24. Produce regular amendments to the iPad and application User Guides that are common to Flight Crew and Cabin Crew.

25. Provide information and guidance to the Cabin Crew Training department when new procedures are introduced to enhance training and provide support to Instructors.

26. Liaise with Operations Technical Publication to ensure the required number of CCQRHs are available on Gulf Air’s fleet including newly inducted aircraft.

27. To comply with regulatory requirements, publish regular updates of all manuals and documentation for Cabin Crew through iPad, USB and Cabin Crew Operations Documentation Library on Operations SharePoint Portal.

28. Maintain updates to the Repository Directories for Flight Crew, Cabin Crew and Ground Ops Libraries on SharePoint (internal & external).

29. In coordination with the Ops Compliance Team, Maintain an updated BCAA SharePoint Library and ensure the Regulatory Authority have relevant access.

30. Maintain updates to the BCAA Inspection Log ensuring all BCAA inspections (cabin, Enroute, Sim & Base) are arranged for in accordance with Ops Compliance procedures.

31. Maintain updates to the BCAA Audit Finding Log ensuring all open findings are logged, communicated to the applicable departments for root cause analysis, corrective action and preventative action, and ensure open findings are responded to prior to the deadline date.

32. Responsible for generating reports of cabin crew non-compliance (iPad and USB) and forward to Cabin Crew Management for follow-up and action.

33. In coordination with OMDS and GOMDS, produce and maintain regular updates to Station Information published for every airport operated to on the GF Network and maintain updates to the Station Information log sheet for tracking purposes.

34. Draft and publish notices to crew/ground ops personnel as required by Ops depts.

35. In coordination with MRC and OMDS, review and track all published Cabin Crew notices; all changes to procedure and/or policy as directed by Cabin Crew Department, Flight Operations, Ground Operations and Inflight Service/Inflight Product Department, to ensure they are incorporated into the appropriate manual or discontinued as required.

36. Develop and propose new initiatives and approaches to troubleshoot and improve efficiency of current policies and procedures.

37. Assist MRC, OMDS and GOMDS in matters related to operations documentation.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

• University Degree or minimum 5 years aviation experience

• Preferable current or previous cabin crew experience

• Must possess good knowledge of Gulf Air Operational procedures

• Possess working knowledge of ANTR OPS

• Must have a high level of skill in written and verbal communications in the English language

• Proof reading and procedure writing ability

• High degree of computer literacy using MS Office applications

• Must possess excellent people management and motivational skills, consultative team orientated working style, high level of entrepreneurial skill, resilient and culturally sensitive with high communication skills

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years airline experience.

• The jobholder should be able to prepare clear and concise reports, presentations and spreadsheets unassisted and display a high level of confidence in verbal presentation.

• Must have worked extensively with multinational staff and have good working knowledge of airline in-flight service.
