Main Objectives
1. Manage all Goods Receiving and Inspection functions in accordance with Gulf Air and Authority standards and procedures.

2. Manage all aircraft materials received in Technical Stores by ensuring conformity to standards and procedures established by the OEM, Gulf Air Technical and Quality System in order to satisfy the airworthiness regulatory requirements.

3. Ensure all parts not conforming to acceptable standards, certification, quality and engineering restrictions and other reasons are quarantined and not permitted to enter into the active Stores.

4. Ensure all parts subject to shelf life, life limits and other storage requirements are identified, controlled in the Inventory Management System, and communicated to Stores personnel.

5. Fully accountable for all processes and procedures related to goods receiving and inspection sanctioned by Regulatory Authorities.

Main Duties

1. Manage and control the receipt and inspection of all aircraft parts, components, engine and consumable materials received from approved suppliers or repair agencies by ensuring conformity to Gulf Air Technical Procedures and Regulatory requirements.

2. Ensure all material certificates and related documents, including logistics documents, are uploaded into the Inventory Management System.

3. Manage the filing and safekeeping of all original documents received along with each order. Full control of archived records as required by Gulf Air Technical and Regulatory Authorities.

4. Ensure all parts received and inspected satisfactorily are issued with serviceable labels, each having with a unique control number from the Inventory Management System for full traceability purposes.

5. Ensure all communicated requirements related to Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and internal requirements are accomplished in the system in close coordination with Engineering and Technical Records as applicable.

6. Ensure all Next-higher and Sub-assembly Tree-receiving requirements are accomplished accurately and in a timely manner in coordination with Workshop, Engineering and Technical Records.

7. Ensure all parts are inspected physically without deviations for correct part number, serial number, condition, blanking, inhibition, quantity, dimensions, coding and packing.

8. Ensure Discrepancy Report is issued for parts which do not conform to inspection criteria that could be a result but not limited to the following reasons; Incorrect part number or serial number, excess quantity, short supply, damage, not blanked or prepared for storage, no outstanding orders, and items received without acceptable documentation. Notify concerned departments and follow-up for further handling and rectification.

9. Ensure Incident Report including photos and other supporting documents are provided for damaged parts to aid in the claim and request for compensation.

10. Full control of the Goods Receiving quarantine for parts that do not conform to acceptable standards. Reflect quarantine parts in the Inventory Management System under dedicated Bin locations. Follow up to maintain the standard time limitation with concerned departments.

11. Control and manage the issuance of mandatory notifications to Gulf Air Technical Quality for Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUP) or threat to aircraft safety in accordance with Gulf Air Technical Procedures.

12. Conduct sampling checks of available part documents versus MIS status pertaining to storage requirements and conditions, and arrange for the immediate correction of observed discrepancies.

13. Conduct self-audit of the Receiving Inspection and arrange for immediate remedies.

14. Manage all Stores audit preparations, engage during actual audit, and manage responses to audit observations and findings from Gulf Air Technical Quality, Regulatory or external auditors.

15. Ensure all parts received on loan basis from other carriers are processed in accordance with Gulf Air Technical procedures.

16. Ensure unused parts intended for return to active Stores, serviceable unused parts from MRO or outstations, and parts coming from Surplus stores are inspected thoroughly, including its documentations, to ensure serviceability in accordance with Gulf Air Technical Procedures.

17. Ensure full support is provided to Technical Material Planning and Store personnel in terms of parts inspection and documentation during the preparation of sale of surplus inventory.

18. Manage the day-to-day activities of all Store Inspector and support personnel under the Goods Receiving area, and ensure adequate training are proposed to Management.

19. Coordinate with Technical Publication for any inquiries related to component maintenance manual provisioning.

20. Manage all performance and KPI report related to Goods Receiving.


Experience
Minimum of 3 years experience as Store Inspector in an airline or MRO and holder of a current Technical Quality / Authority Approval for Parts Inspection.
Experience in handling aircraft parts, particular ESD items, controlling shelf life/calibration, and audit support and follow ups is an advantage.

Qualifications
• Higher National Diploma or equivalent.
• Quality Assurance approval associated with stores inspection.
• Knowledge of Suspected Unapproved Parts, and Airworthiness Authority Regulations pertaining to Materials and Stores.
• Awareness of Technical Publications and review of Airworthiness Directives is an advantage.
• Good command of English Language, both spoken and written.
• Computer literate.
