MAIN OBJECTIVES

Ensure a smooth and efficient flow of the crew operation activities related to Cabin Crew Recruitment, Performance, Reviewing Crew Contracts, Care and Support/Housing, Cabin crew Duty Officers and monitor their adherence to the Company policy and operational, regulatory and administrative requirements. Plan Cabin Crew manpower, schedule and follow up training plans for new joiners and conversion courses in liaison with Cabin Crew Training Department, Control staff movement and coordinate with Personnel Human Resource HR to process resignation, transfer, promotion and termination. Manage OTP delays attributed to Cabin Crew Department. Manage “GF Cabin Crew Management” in Easy system.

MAIN DUTIES:
  • Responsible for managing, coordinating and evaluating all activities of Planning, Administration for Cabin Crew, Care and Support/Housing, Cabin Crew Performance, Administration and Guest Complaints and Cabin Crew Duty Supervisor for efficient performance.
  • Implement the inter-departmental policies and guidelines and ensure full compliance.
  • Cabin Crew Recruitment– Promotions– Data Base System– Resignation– Royal Flights
  • Ensure sufficient cabin crew are available to sustain the current and planned Gulf Air operation.
  • Holds overall responsibility of Cabin Crew selection.
  • Monitor that all new arrivals (Cabin Crew) are fleeted on all types of aircraft as per BCAA regulation.
  • Manager Cabin Crew will plan for the Initial, Conversation, Additional Soft Skills Courses which includes Promotions, Assessments and Ad-hoc Courses, according to GF business direction and focus in liaise with Crew Planning and Training Department.
  • Maintenance of the crew database “Easy Crew History System” and generation of crew statistics.
  • Cabin Crew Disciplinary Letters (First written warning onwards) must be entered in “Easy Crew History System”
  • Receives the cabin crew resignation intimation from Care and Support Officers and makes entry in Easy Data system.
  •  Job Holder will conduct all Cabin Crew exit interviews.
  •  Royal Flights Maintain record of temporary posted, seconded staff for re-charge to

        concerned activity.

    • Exercise effective management of the section staff in terms of selecting, training, motivating, evaluating and disciplining of subordinates.
    • Receive information and update the Personal Department on payroll adjustments, payment & suspension allowances for cabin crew.
    • Constantly advice and follow-up with Human Resource on payroll adjustments and payment, suspension of applicable allowances.

      Liaise with HR on policy issues on administrative matters.  Coordinate with other department on daily basis on crew legal documentation (Passport, Visa, Medical, CPR, CMC, …etc.) and procedural issues.

    • In compliance with ANTR-OPS & IOSA review and approve CCQRH, Safety Cards and Safety Video
    • Liaise with SEP Training to monitor the progressive training of Cabin Crew.
    • Job Holder shall be vigilant and handles Safety related issues with great understanding and awareness.
    • Liaise with the Operation Quality Assurance, Flight Safety, Operations Compliance, Cabin Crew Training and on any SOP/policy, Safety and Technical issues affecting Cabin Crew Operation.
    • Be an impartial authority during individual’s conflict, SOPs, safety, crew performance, company policy and standards, guest complaint and handle crisis situations, which cannot be resolved by subordinates.  Monitor and where necessary intervene on all major issues relating to cabin crew and individuals within the department.

    • Directly or indirectly involve/assist in conducting investigations into cabin crew incidents of adverse performance relating to SOPs, safety, company policy and standards, and those that affect the airline image.
    •  Review and conduct meetings with cabin crew who do not comply with company rules and regulations.
    • Cabin crew will personally receive appreciation letters from Job Holder.

    • On Time Performance (OTP)
    • Initiate job descriptions for existing and new positions within his/her area.
    • Promote and motivate teamwork and ensure that individuals in the department carry a sense of personal pride for the airline.
    • Maintain an update of the quality procedures related to his/her area and present it to QA as and when required.
    • Follow up with QA for corrective actions to be taken in case of findings raised.

    • Ensure that his/her team are responsible for documenting and amending their procedures and to close any findings if given by Operations Quality Department.
    • Ensure as Crisis Management Team member to be familiar with his/her responsibilities, and to be able to execute those responsibilities during an emergency.
    • Prepare both annual budget and plans for Recruitment, Housing and Administration of Cabin Crew to match Operational requirement.
    • Manage the selection, allocation and maintenance of crew housing.
    • Ensure that his/her team have submitted their KPIs
    • Organize and conduct monthly meetings with his/her team.
    • Prepare and submit the operating and capital budget to Senior Manager Cabin Crew for necessary processing and once approved, control expenditure using cost effective measures.
    • Initiate Business Cases for major projects related to his/her area as and when directed by Senior Manager Cabin Crew.
    • Active participation in reviewing and analyzing the monthly expenditure and performance versus the budget and plan of his/her area.
    • Participate in Executive Level meeting on standard operations as directed by Senior Manager Cabin Crew.
    • Daily morning meetings liaise with Senior Manager Cabin Crew on regulatory matters affecting the Cabin Crew and the department.

    • Officially, deputize Senior Manager Cabin Crew during his/her absence.
    • With Senior Manager Cabin Crew, an accountable participant in Executive Level meetings.
    • Carry out any additional tasks assigned by Senior Manager Cabin Crew when circumstance dictate. 
    • In the event of an aircraft accident/major incident, assist Cabin Crew Management in accordance with Cabin Crew Department Emergency Response Procedure (CC-18), to minimize the impact on cabin crew lives, property, operations and crew’s family.
    • Submit to Senior Manager Cabin Crew a monthly comprehensive report on all activities/actions of his/her area.
    • Responsible for self KPIs and required to complete all stages of HR Performance Management System.
    • Ensure “GF Cabin Crew Management” in Easy system is updated by all team members and all relevant information given to SMCC
  1. On a daily basis, review delay reports attributed to Cabin Crew department and provide details with supporting documents to Senior Manager Cabin Crew for Daily “Senior Management OTP Meetings”.
  2. Attend “Senior Management OTP meetings” during his/her absence
  3. On a daily basis, review delay reports attributed to Cabin Crew department and provide details with supporting documents for OTP management meetings held thrice a week.
  4. Prepare detailed reports for post follow-up for the OTP management meetings held thrice a week.
  5. Review and conduct meetings with Flight Purser who do not comply with OTP procedures
  6. May Deputize one of the team members to attend and assist for follow up for OTP meetings.
  7. Establish and manage a system for monitoring the in-flight performance and compliance of cabin crew with the standard operation procedures as per company standards.
  8. Prepare KPI one for Cabin Service Managers and one general for cabin crew.
EDUCATION & TRAINING

 

Education qualification to a college degree is preferable. Proven managements experience in a complex environment, strong administrative skills, and excellent communications abilities.

EXPERIENCE

At least 10 years’ experience in Cabin Crew Operations, 7 years’ experience flying as Cabin Service Manager.
