MAIN OBJECTIVES:
Responsible for the overall management of operational maintenance spares classified as assets, including categorization, movements, retention and retirement based on operating factors, replenishments, and end-of-lease requirements.
Oversee the repair cycle including modifications and vendor performance to achieve the most effective means of rotating spares from shops to optimize the spares and life cycle of component.
GENERAL
Participate in the development of processes and methodologies in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the section.
Comply with the company’s safety standards and personnel policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as may be directed by the Manager.
MAIN DUTIES
Carry out functions related to the management of technical assets in order to optimize the full investment, retention, usability and life cycle of component.
Perform a rational planning to enhance the acquisition, provisioning and disposal of technical assets.
Set up a proper criterion in evaluating components offered on exchange basis to maintain the same or higher standard of component are kept.
Participate in component reliability meetings to understand changes, modifications, upgrades, corrective actions and implementation of campaigns.
Keep track of failed-on-fit components and premature removals reported by technical, and the response / recommendation of supplier, repair shop or 3rd party providers.
Set up a robust monitoring system to manage, track movement of all component issuance and returns.
Conduct a regular review of parts created in the system to ensure material categorization is accurate.
Recommend float increase or scrap replenishment as deemed necessary to maintain a sufficient stock to support the operation.
Conduct proper evaluation of components recommended for surplus or scrap disposal to gain the maximum possible proceeds.
Manage the disposal of assets and mutilation of scrap parts by ensuring all actions are recorded and internal procedures are followed.
Carry out the posting of surplus parts for sale in aerospace aftermarket platforms as deemed necessary.
Carry out the review, planning, provisioning and replacement of components related to end-of-lease projects by ensuring contractual requirements are met and core returns are processed in a timely manner.
Set up a robust monitoring system to track the performance of vendors and service providers to get the optimum service.
Conduct vendor evaluations to ensure performance are conveyed properly.
Engage the manufacturer, suppliers, or repair entities as necessary to improve their support, lead-time and turn-around-time to maximize the investments and assets.
Ensure vendor and 3rd party contracts service levels and commitments are implemented and tracked.
Monitor the performance of Logistics provider affecting the turnaround time of components sent for foreign repair
Support warranty and insurance claims on technical matters as deemed necessary
Generate multiple KPI reports to track internal productivity and performance.
Prepare Business Case for component repairs, exchange, loans and purchases requiring higher management approval or the Bahrain Tender Board approval.
Assist in the review and validation of vendor and 3rd party invoices when required.
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent,
knowledge in aircraft systems and maintenance activities.
Knowledge in inventory management.
Knowledge of aircraft technical publications including IPC and CMMs
Knowledge of Airworthiness Authority Regulations pertaining to Materials.
High command in English, both in oral in written.
Excellent skills in computer.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5year experience in airline Inventory Management, preferably with experience in material planning, asset management, component repairs management, warehouse management, and warranty and orders management.
