Main Objectives
• To participate in investigation committees and to act as per applicable laws, Labour laws and Company’s rules and regulations.
• To safe-guard the interests of the Company by ensuring to comply with Company’s rules and regulations and schedule of penalties are legally acceptable and in accordance to the applicable Laws.
• To settle matters amicably and ensure that all disciplinary recommendations conform to Labour Law and Company’s rules and regulations.
Main Duties:
1. Handle strictly confidential matters, labour disputes, and different aspects.
2. Reviewing and ensuring that schedule of penalties and related procedures are in order with Company’s rules & regulations and do not have conflict with the Labour Law.
3. Provide consultations and solutions for employees to resolve conflicts or problems with colleagues amicably.
4. Provide psychological support and sessions to employees to avoid personal conflicts or breakdowns.
5. Participate in Investigation Committees to carry out investigations and inquiries into breaches of company policy and staff complaints.
6. Attend investigations to observe, take minutes, prepare report and follow up staff disciplinary matters and maintain the records of disciplinary actions and warnings issued, where duty travel might be required.
7. Write records of investigation interview with staff (Arabic and English).
8. Communicate with legal department regarding various issues concerning labour matters and outstation laws.
9. Assist all Departments and Divisions with disciplinary procedures and disciplinary actions and advise upon any queries from functional Managers on disciplinary matters and labour law.
10. Prepare files and keep accurate records of disciplinary actions taken on all levels and update records of all cases and maintain the Employee Relations filing system, with consideration of utmost confidentiality.
11. Execute management decisions through drafting necessary documents.
12. Issue appeal decisions in accordance to the applicable laws.
13. Draft correspondences to related entities for employee relations matters.
14. Prepare Employee Relations statistics.
15. Render legal advices for employee relations matters to be corrective rather than punitive, and ensure not to violate the company’s rules and regulations and Labour Law.
16. Achieve any task assigned by the direct supervisor related to the field.
