Job Summary:

The Director of Cyber Security & Governance at our organization plays a crucial role in steering our cybersecurity strategy and operations. This leadership position involves overseeing the comprehensive management of digital identity and access, ensuring adherence to governance and industry certifications, and supervising the asset management and Security Operations Center (SOC). The role requires a strategic approach to IT security, incorporating proactive measures and effective incident management to safeguard our digital infrastructure. The ideal candidate will not only bring technical expertise but also a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance, thereby supporting the overarching goals and integrity of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cybersecurity Leadership:

• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies and policies.

• Lead and mentor the cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance.

2. Identity and Access Management:

• Oversee the management of digital identities and access controls to ensure security and compliance.

• Implement best practices for identity verification, authentication, and authorization.

3. Governance and Compliance:

• Manage and maintain governance-related certifications (e.g., ISO).

• Ensure that cybersecurity practices align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

4. Asset Management:

• Oversee the asset management division, ensuring that all IT assets are accounted for, deployed, maintained, and secured.

5. Security Operations Center (SOC) Oversight:

• Direct the operations of the SOC, ensuring timely detection and response to security threats and incidents.

• Implement advanced security monitoring tools and techniques.

6. IT Security:

• Lead the development and enforcement of IT security policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into IT infrastructure and services.

7. IT Security Incident Management:

• Manage the IT security incident response process, including preparation, detection, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident activities.

• Ensure timely and effective response to security incidents and breaches.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Professional cybersecurity certifications.

• Extensive experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on governance, identity and access management, and IT security.

• Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a diverse team.

• Strong knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in managing a Security Operations Center (SOC).

• Familiarity with asset management in an IT context.

• Experience with cybersecurity incident response and digital forensics.

Working Conditions:

• This position may require on-call availability for urgent security incidents.
