MAIN OBJECTIVE:
To undergo comprehensive training to develop proficiency in aircraft maintenance, engineering and airworthiness management. This includes learning how to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, assisting in developing and revising maintenance programs, and participating in defect analysis and documentation control. The trainee aims to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to support the Continued Airworthiness Management Organization CAMO team in maintaining safe and compliant aircraft operations while gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of aircraft maintenance and airworthiness management.
The training program will prepare the candidate for future roles within the Technical Division as a Technical Officer
MAIN DUTIES
1. Training Program: Participate in a structured training program that covers various aspects of aviation maintenance management, including but not limited to:
All functions of technical sections and the processes in place. (Overview understanding).
Aircraft systems and components.
Regulatory requirements and airworthiness standards.
Maintenance planning and control processes.
Documentation and record-keeping procedures.
Safety protocols and incident reporting.
2. On-the-Job Learning:
Shadowing and Mentorship: Work closely with experienced CAMO engineers, shadowing their daily activities and seeking guidance to develop practical skills and knowledge.
Software Familiarization: Gain proficiency in the use of industry-standard CAMO software and tools essential for managing aircraft maintenance data and records.
Regulatory Compliance: Learn and understand aviation regulatory frameworks, including BCAA (Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs) regulations and other relevant international standards.
Problem Solving: Develop problem-solving skills by analyzing hypothetical scenarios and participating in group discussions to address real-world aviation challenges.
Data Analysis: Assist in monitoring aircraft maintenance records, analyzing data, and making recommendations to ensure the airworthiness of our fleet.
Documentation: Acquire expertise in maintaining accurate and compliant aircraft maintenance records, logbooks, and technical documentation.
Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance exercises to ensure that maintenance activities meet the highest safety and compliance standards.
Aircraft Inspections: Participate in aircraft inspections and maintenance oversight to gain hands-on experience in the field.
Reporting and Communication: Learn to prepare reports, communicate findings, and collaborate effectively with other departments to address maintenance issues and ensure aircraft airworthiness.
Continual Learning: Stay updated with industry developments, regulations, and best practices through ongoing training and self-study.
3. Technical Officer Duties (depending on area assignment):
Work with the delegated duty manager on daily basis and perform the assigned tasks (e.g AD/SB evaluation, Engine health Monitoring, Aircraft Health Monitoring, Audits, task planning etc).
Access and proficient use of the various systems that the assigned section is utilizing such as AMOS,
Skywise Health monitoring, Airbus world, My Boeing Fleet.
Demonstrate good understanding of the various documents issued by Gulf Air, OEMs and authorities (e.g AD, SB, VSB, MOM, delivery documents).
Demonstrate good understand the aircraft reliability program and the importance of it including MTBUR, MTBF, GMTBUR, reliability analysis and evaluation.
Demonstrate familiarity with the aircraft maintenance program, how it is built and customized using the MPD and CMP.
Monitor and evaluate the Airworthiness Mandates and Service Bulletins technical contents.
Attend internal and external meeting as directed by the supervisor.
Apply the CAMO and Quality assurance systems within Gulf Air.
Comply with BCAA requirements included in the ANTR OPS, Part M and CAPs.
Access and use of the different aircraft monitoring platforms used by Gulf Air Engineering and MCC such as EHM and AHM.
Create and release Long and Short-term planning work packages in related AMOS modules.
Carry out special assignment, tasks and responsibility, as defined by the delegated manager
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electronics, aeronautical or electrical engineering or Aviation licence
Experience: no experience is required. Fresh graduate
The following skills are required:
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Formal training on one aircraft type operated by Gulf Air is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
