Main Objectives
The main objectives of the job are to:
Manage the implementation of Gulf Air security measures and procedures for outstations in the Indian Sub-Continent and Far East regions
Collate and update the security threats and risks for outstations within the above regions
Ensure compliance with national aviation security regulatory requirements
Perform the role of Chief Security Officer (CSO) India as per the requirements of BCAS in addition to his job as RSM-Indian Subcontinent and Far East.
Provide airport managers with security advice and guidelines in support of the airlines’ operations
Respond to and effectively manage security incidents
Main Duties
Manage the day to day security aspects for outstations in the Indian sub-Continent and Far East regions within the Gulf Air network
Manage Station Security Officers at outstations within the above regions
Review the performance of outsourced third-party security service providers via a contractual Service Level Agreement
Develop, update, revise and obtain approval for Gulf Air Security Programme and Gulf Air Quality Control Programme-Indian Edition, as per the requirements of Indian Security Regulator, BCAS.
Undertake periodic Station Security Surveys as per the requirements of the GF Security Programme
Collate monthly Security Incident and Security Quality Control reports from Airport Managers within the above regions
Implement corrective actions resulting from GF Operations QA audits
Undertake security tasks as part of the GF Field Team in response to an aircraft accident or incident within the specified region where required
Act as the focal point of contact with the Appropriate Authority for India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Singapore, The Philippines Thailand and any other new additional stations within the region.
Education & Training
Minimum academic education at degree level is essential
Standard of English language – A minimum TOEFL score of 87
Successfully completed the AvSec Professional Managers Course
Within 12 months of being appointed successfully complete: the BCAS Basic Aviation Security course.
Experience
Essential:
Not less than 5 years military or police experience OR Not less than 10 years’ experience with a civil airline.
Desirable:
A minimum of 1 years’ experience within the security department of a company with not less than 500 employees.
A spoken second language other than either English.
