JOB PURPOSE
The role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the General Aviation Terminal business division of the Company while implementing the Company’s vision and continuously improving safety, efficiency, profitability, customer engagement and loyalty, and employee accountability and promote a positive team environment to better serve Company customers.
The role should apply the principles of management to all aspects of aviation services to oversee and provide superior customer services for all based, arriving, and departing aircraft. The position will perform all functions required to be provided through the General Aviation Terminal and to perform general supervision and coordinate all aircraft services to be provided to based and transient customers.
The role will have knowledge and experience in ground handling, commercial airline handling, fuelling operations and management, scheduling, staffing/cost control principles. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to understand and analyse financial data, fuel data, demand projection, and deal with based and transient aircraft customer service issues as they arise.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage the day-to-day operations of the General Aviation Terminal building.
Hospitality management, provision of F&B offering at the Terminal.
Receipt of reservations and management of arriving and departing aircraft and passengers.
Ground handling (coordination with the service provider).
Commercial passenger handling (coordination with the airline/ground handler).
Fueling operations and management (coordination with the service provider).
Sale and provision of general aviation support services such as fuel, handling, and parking.
Marketing and customer relationship management.
Providing exceptional customer service.
Complying with health, safety and environmental functions.
Complying with aviation and airport regulations.
Staffing/cost control principles.
Staff and resource planning and allocation.
Recruitment and training and onboarding new hires.
Complete department specific training for new hires.
Preparing budgets and demand projections.
Education/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in aviation or related field.
Experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience working with a fixed based operator in a senior managerial position.
