MAIN OBJECTIVE

The Analyst - Network & Communications is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure and communication systems for internal and external stakeholders.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the availability, security, and efficiency of the network and communication systems, supporting the overall business objectives and user requirements.

MAIN DUTIES

1. Network Design and Implementation:

• Design and implement network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, to meet the organization's requirements.

• Evaluate and recommend network technologies, protocols, and equipment to enhance network performance and security.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network solutions align with business needs.

2. Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address network issues to minimize downtime and maximize network availability.

• Conduct regular network performance assessments and capacity planning to anticipate future network requirements.

• Troubleshoot network problems, diagnose and resolve network faults in a timely manner.

3. Network Security:

• Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard the organization's network infrastructure.

• Monitor network traffic for potential security threats and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network security.

4. Communication Systems:

• Manage and support communication systems, such as VoIP, video conferencing, and collaboration tools.

• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure the reliability and quality of communication services.

• Provide end-user support for communication systems, including troubleshooting and training.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Configure and manage network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Implement and maintain network protocols, including TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, and MPLS.

• Monitor and maintain network performance and traffic analysis tools.

• Stay updated with emerging network and communication technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

• Conduct network audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential security risks.

• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with other systems, such as servers, storage, and cloud services.

• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA) are a plus.

• Proven experience (2-3 years) in network design, implementation, and administration.

• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security principles.

• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds).

• Familiarity with communication systems, such as VoIP, video conferencing, and collaboration tools.

• Understanding of cloud networking concepts and technologies (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure Networking).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
