JOB PURPOSE:
1. Under the direct supervisions of the reporting manager, lead and develop cargo and logistics department and its strategies servicing both the existing and new customers.
2. Professionally represent cargo and logistics department both at local and international markets driving efficiency and new customers to BIA.
3. Monitor service provided through cargo handlers, driving, and addressing the improvements that are required through Service Level Agreements.
4. Active involvement on projects related to Cargo and logistics developments.
5. Assist manager with setting yearly cargo and logistics revenue budget and there after tracking its performance and leading corrective actions to variance noticed
6. Represent BAC at different government entities and functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide administrative support to the department Head
• Provide administrative support to the department and ensure all files are maintained, recorded, and archived correctly.
• Assist Manager, by acting as admin/minute taker at all stakeholder meetings and air cargo working group (ACWG.)
• Prepare a comprehensive report on potential target Cargo airlines.
• Ensure the monthly cargo volume database is updated.
• Maintain GSE, motor fuel, LDCS, BRS, etc., billing files each month with finance and submit a report on the final revenues and activity.
• Perform customer surveys and maintain the Cargo airlines database (profiles). Assist in the establishment and update of a CRM charter.
• Collect pricing and tariff data on all regional airports and present a benchmark study vs. BIA.
Assist in leading, and guiding marketing strategies of BIA
• Assist department Manager in overall cargo marketing of BIA.
• Assist in identifying potential customers, scheduling meetings, and preparing agendas.
• Maintain client relationship with existing customers.
• Assist in attracting new customer cargo airlines to commence services to/through BIA.
Assist in the administration of the operations of Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
• Assist in the negotiation of new commercial agreements when required through preparing relevant reports and collecting data.
• Respond to all enquiries raised by the users, i.e., ground handler and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
• Assist in developing operational procedures to improve performance and achieve targets and ensure safe usage of the equipment.
Assist in leading and guiding the commercial aspects of GSE, BRS, LDCS, motor fuel station, etc.
• Assist Line Manager in monitoring proper adherence to pricing policy and schemes adopted by BAC and ensure policies and procedures are adhered to resulting into adequate accounting and collection of revenue.
• Oversee proper data gathering from various aeronautical activities; devise appropriate methods and policies for proper data collection and analysis.
• Closely work with Airport Operations Division and GFG ICT Division to monitor and report on KPI’s of the various support services such as GSE, BRS and LDCS.
• Closely work with FM team and GFG ICT Division to monitor and report on KPI’s of the motor fuel station.
• Maintain record of motor fuel users and keep track of issuing electronic user tokens and related accounting.
Assist in developing, assessing, and formulating a logistics concept in line with strategic objectives of BIA.
• Assist in developing logistics and delivery concept needed to deliver goods and other supplies systematically and efficiently into BIA and the airport terminal building for retail, F&B and other outlets and for other stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and documenting the process of screening and transporting through dedicated security check point (Super Gate, etc.).
• Assists in developing point-to-point bounded shipments processes through dedicated security check point.
• Assist in defining and designing all associated logistical necessities warranting the success of the model.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security, etc.
• Assist in drafting the operational concept (SOPs) for delivering goods and supplies into the terminal.
• Assist in assessing the need for and designing the concept of additional on-site dedicated facility for unloading, sorting, and screening of goods and supplies being brought into the airport. Verify the key elements and machinery required to ensure the success and smooth operation of the facility.
Project Monitoring and Management
• Assist and coordinate commercial projects, routine internal processes, and procedures, bid evaluations, risk management with full clarity keeping timescales and reporting along with conducting feasibility studies to the reporting manager.
Minimum Qualifications & Minimum Experience :
A Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline.
Minimum of 0-3 year’s relative commercial experience managing key accounts or small project teams. Required to have cargo experience
