JOB PURPOSE :

To assist Head - Emergency planning in ensuring Bahrain Airport Company compliance with the latest regulations set by the relevant regulatory bodies, coordinate and prepare exercises with various parties and stakeholders involved during all type of emergencies that may occur at the airport, ensuring the preparedness & capability of both the BAC & the stakeholders in dealing with emergency situations, in addition the role will also assist in the upkeep, maintenance, development & awareness of the Aerodrome Emergency Plan (AEP) and development of required supporting standards and operation procedures (SOP) to the AEP. The role will also take part in supporting ARFFS by creating internal response plans, conducting trainings, coordinating exercises and any other supporting activities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
  • To ensure and maintain emergency operation centre (EOC) operational readiness to be readily available for activation and operation in case of real occurrence of an emergency that require the usage of the EOC as strategic command and

    control level.

  • To update and maintain the Aerodrome Emergency Plan (AEP) with the latest accurate information, required sections and to ensure any findings/non-compliances are eliminated.

  • To arrange and coordinate exercises and trials to test the plans and procedures and amend the plans as necessary.

  • To update, maintain & create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as required with latest accurate & applicable information.

  • Create and conduct presentations for a wide range of topics included in Aerodrome Emergency Plan as Awareness sessions, Training, Briefing etc.

  • Conducts assessments, create assessments report and gap analysis studies.

  • Plan, coordinate & conduct full-scale airport emergency exercise, carry out detailed critique and assessment, hold formal debriefing with emergency planning committee responding agencies, and identify any required changes to the AEP, analyse all comments and observations, and propose changes to the AEP as required/needed, and conduct trainings in regards to changes.

  • Perform other related duties as may be required.

  • Plan, organize and impart formal classroom and practical on the job training to the rescue and firefighting staff and to the assigned counterparts.

  • Prepare RFPs, statement of needs, business cases.

  • Project managements delivery and execute projects.

  • Prepare cases studies commensurate with RFFS & AEP planning.

  • Establishing of corrective actions tracker and follow ups.

  • Logging all reports in RFFS performance system.

  • Prepare after action reports.

  • Act as EOC admin officer during major incidents/ accident, log all members event actions and deliver EOC accident report and aftermath reports.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :
  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelors degree in Aviation, Logistics, Emergency Planning, or other fields related to the job requirements.

  • Entry without a degree will only be considered if extensive relevant pre-entry experience or a related professional qualification exists.

  • Minimum Experience: Fresh Graduate in Aviation Industry, or Logistics or 2 year's experience in a relevant / similar job background.
