JOB PURPOSE:

• Ensure Arabic food preparation is to the highest standard

• Practice good kitchen management

Job Main Task:

Ensure Arabic food preparation is to the highest standard

  • Plate dishes for the kitchen

  • Set up the show kitchen for mise-en-place and meal service

  • Prepare a la carte dishes for guests on order

  • Measure dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately

  • Support the Chef de Partie in the role as Chef Torment as required

Practice good kitchen management

  • Store deliveries with the Kitchen Stewards

  • Oversee cleanliness of the kitchen areas

  • Record food stock levels and rotate use-by dates

  • Pack food and equipment items away after the service

  • Maintain a very clean working area

  • Follow all HACCAP procedures and requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualification: High school diploma OR equivalent AND/OR a foundation course/Certificate in Culinary Arts

Minimum Experience: 2 years minimum work experience in a similar role
