KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations
Management and running of day-to-day operation of BHS Operations.
Liaises and plans BHS maintenance with the BHS Maintenance team.
Resolves issues that arise from maintenance or are caused to maintenance due to operations.
Prepare operations reports for management summary and for SLA compliance with the department.
Validates and checks the monthly bag statistics and operations reports including but not limited to short-shipped baggage.
Projects & Coordination
Pre-plans operation in coordination with BHS maintenance
Frequently meets with all managers or representatives of airlines, ground handlers, MOIO and other operations stakeholders and contractors to achieve system performance of 99.5% in order to maintain health of the system.
Contingency
Forecasting future problematic areas and acting to avoid such problems arisen.
React to operational part of issues arises as shift operations, reviewing and summarizing lessons learnt from any incident and incorporate into Contingency plan to avoid reoccurrence.
Define comprehensive contingency plan to mitigate operational risk of failure out of BHS
Compliance
Escalates and informs line manager of non-compliance with SLA, KPIs or contracts.
Ensure all operations staff are trained on manuals and procedures.
Ensures all equipment, tools and PPE are available and safe to use.
Monitors and reports operational non-compliances.

At all times, act with due care, skill, and diligence to ensure compliance with the aviation group's risk culture, policies, and procedures, as well as our Code of Conduct and Values.
Foster a climate of openness, transparency, and accountability regarding compliance with external regulations (including aviation safety standards) and internal risk policies. Ensure that all compliance-related issues are raised and resolved promptly.
Educate stakeholders and reportees on risk and compliance matters specific to the aviation industry and ensure that all employees within your reporting line complete mandatory training in accordance with the scheduled timeline.
Promptly report to your supervisor and refer to HR Employee Relations Whistle Blowing Policy of any knowledge or suspicion of financial crime or safety violations, providing relevant facts to assist investigations as needed.
Ensure that policies and procedures for your area(s) of responsibility are clearly documented, easily accessible, and regularly updated to reflect current aviation regulations.
Actively participate in exercises designed to rehearse the organization's response to emergency situations, such as evacuation drills and Business Continuity tests, ensuring the readiness of all staff to handle potential aviation-related crises effectively.
Comply with and actively discharge all safety responsibilities applicable to the role including hazard identification, accident and incident reporting, adherence to safety procedures, promotion of a positive safety culture, avoiding reckless and negligent behavior, using appropriate PPE, managing housekeeping, and ensure adherence to the principles, pillars, and safety policies of the organization’s Safety Management System.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in business management, Aviation or related fields
A minimum of 4 years in Baggage Operations
Demonstrated experience in developing operational manuals, processes, and procedures.
Have worked in a team management capacity in the past.
