JOB PURPOSE
The role is responsible to perform and conduct procurement activities for goods and services across departments, ensuring compliance with Bahrain Tender Board regulations and company procurement policies while maintaining uninterrupted and timely supply.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as a liaison and subject matter expert for procurement activities, aligning operational needs with market dynamics to ensure value-driven sourcing decisions.
Adhere to Bahrain Tender Board Law across all procurement operations, including tenders, single source cases, evaluations, and contract awards. Lead internal awareness and implementation of BTB regulations.
Oversee full lifecycle of procurement processes, from drafting RFPs, managing e-tendering, vendor communications, and site visits to conducting technical and financial evaluations, post-approval negotiations, and final awards as delegated to by the relevant manager.
Maintain complete tender records in compliance with regulatory standards, respond to internal/external audit queries and close findings in coordination with relevant departments.
Coordinate with user departments, evaluation teams, internal tender committees, and the Bahrain Tender Board to ensure transparent and efficient procurement execution.
Authorized to approve purchase orders up to BD 5,000 per transaction.
Assist with in-depth market research and analysis, maintain accurate supplier profiles and product/service databases to support effective procurement decisions.
Provide operational continuity during absences, and foster a high-performance, collaborative work environment.
Comply with set KPIs, strategic roadmap development, and budget management.
Achieve any other task as assigned by the management in the related field
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or an equivalent major in the related field.
Membership of a recognized Institute, in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, CIPS, etc.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 2 years in the Procurement Management.
Comprehensive knowledge in Bahrain Tender Law with high level of professional skills.
Strong working knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (PR/PO/invoice) and end-to-end purchasing controls.
Experience with ERP for procurement and inventory (Oracle preferred) and MRO systems (AMOS preferred)
Advanced Excel and/or Power BI (or similar)
Familiarity with digital supply chain/predictive maintenance concepts.
An awareness of aviation quality standards and certifications (preferred).
JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Procure-to-Pay & Commercial Process Ownership
Conduct cost modeling (repair vs replace), TCO analysis, and budget management.
Skilled in analytics to use data to support forecasting and identify failure/demand trends, track and improve key KPIs (e.g., turnaround time, fill rate, AOG recovery time).
Ensure documentation accuracy, audit readiness, and compliance with aviation authority requirements.
