JOB PURPOSE

To support the continued airworthiness of Gulf Air's fleet by conducting aircraft records reviews, monitoring airworthiness compliance, evaluating maintenance and technical documentation, supporting airworthiness reviews, and ensuring adherence to BCAA regulations, approved maintenance programmes, and company continuing airworthiness management procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Airworthiness Review & Compliance

  • Assist in conducting aircraft airworthiness record reviews in accordance with applicable BCAA Air Navigation Technical Regulations, approved maintenance programmes, and Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) requirements.

  • Support the Airworthiness Duty Manager in the accomplishment of annual airworthiness reviews and preparation of documentation required for Certificate of Airworthiness renewal recommendations.

  • Review aircraft maintenance records to verify compliance with mandatory airworthiness requirements, maintenance programme tasks, life-limited component controls, and continuing airworthiness directives.

  • Participate in aircraft physical inspections and surveys as part of the airworthiness review process when required.

  • Monitor the validity and completeness of airworthiness records and identify discrepancies requiring corrective action.

  • Exercise independent technical judgement during airworthiness reviews and provide objective recommendations regarding the continued airworthiness status of aircraft.

Continuing Airworthiness Monitoring

  • Review the implementation status of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Mandatory Service Bulletins, and other regulatory requirements to ensure continued compliance.

  • Monitor aircraft maintenance programme effectiveness and report any airworthiness concerns or recommendations for improvement.

  • Verify the accuracy and integrity of technical records related to aircraft, engines, components, and equipment.

  • Support the review and evaluation of maintenance programme amendments and associated technical documentation.

Technical Documentation & Record Management

  • Maintain and update airworthiness-related records, reports, and support documentation in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.

  • Prepare technical reports, compliance summaries, and support documentation for internal review and regulatory submissions.

  • Ensure airworthiness files and records are maintained in a complete, accurate, and auditable condition.

  • Support the preparation and closure of airworthiness review findings and corrective action tracking.

Regulatory & Quality Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with BCAA regulations, approved company procedures, and applicable manufacturer requirements.

  • Assist during regulatory inspections, audits, and internal quality reviews by providing required technical records and evidence of compliance.

  • Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions arising from audits, investigations, or regulatory findings.

  • Monitor changes to airworthiness regulations and communicate relevant impacts to management.

Continuous Improvement & Technical Support

  • Provide technical support and recommendations on airworthiness matters to internal stakeholders within the Technical Division.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of airworthiness processes, procedures, and record-keeping systems.

  • Support departmental projects, fleet introductions, and technical initiatives related to continuing airworthiness management.

  • Perform any other airworthiness-related duties as assigned by the Airworthiness Duty Manager.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

EASA Part 66 License or equivalent Bachelor's degree in aviation related sectors (Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical / etc.)

EXPERIENCE

A Minimum of 4 years of experience in the related field; a combination of experience in aircraft maintenance and/or continuing airworthiness management (engineering) and/or surveillance.
