JOB PURPOSE
Lead the development, management, and optimization of the airline's strategic partnerships, alliance relationships, codeshare agreements, and aero political affairs to support network expansion, revenue growth, market access, and competitive positioning. Drive collaboration with external stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and aviation partners to secure commercial opportunities, traffic rights, and strategic initiatives that align with the airline's long-term objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Alliances & Partnerships
• Develop and execute the airline's alliances and partnership strategy in alignment with corporate and network growth objectives.
• Lead the identification, evaluation, negotiation, and management of codeshare, interline, alliance, and strategic partnership agreements.
• Drive initiatives to enhance revenue generation, network reach, customer connectivity, and commercial value through strategic partnerships.
• Oversee the performance of existing partnerships and recommend enhancements to maximize mutual commercial benefits.
• Lead commercial evaluations, business cases, and partnership opportunities to support network expansion and market penetration.
• Collaborate with Network Planning, Revenue Management, Commercial, and Finance teams to align partnership initiatives with business priorities.
Aero political Affairs
• Lead the airline's aero political strategy to secure market access, traffic rights, bilateral opportunities, and regulatory approvals supporting network growth.
• Manage relationships with civil aviation authorities, government entities, regulators, and international aviation organizations.
• Monitor developments in bilateral air service agreements, aviation regulations, and industry policies that may impact the airline's network strategy.
• Represent the airline in aero political discussions, negotiations, industry forums, and stakeholder engagements.
• Provide strategic advice to executive management on regulatory and aero political matters affecting the airline.
Leadership & Governance
• Lead and develop the Alliances & Partnerships and Aero political Affairs teams to ensure high levels of performance and engagement.
• Establish governance frameworks, policies, and reporting mechanisms to monitor partnership effectiveness and regulatory developments.
• Prepare executive-level reports, recommendations, and presentations for senior leadership regarding partnership and aero political initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement in partnership management, negotiation processes, and stakeholder engagement practices.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, Law, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in airline alliances, partnerships, network planning, commercial strategy, aero political affairs, aviation business development, or related fields.
